Question about Tasmanian Health Service Administration

Mrs Armitage (Launceston) to the Honourable Leader of Government, Dr Vanessa Goodwin -

With regard to the statewide positions for the administration and secretariat of the new single Tasmanian Health Service based in Launceston can the Leader please advise -

1 For staff appointed to these positions, permanent or acting, but residing in the south of the State, the amount paid for travel to and from their home base to the Launceston THS for the last financial year and;

2 For staff appointed to these positions, permanent or acting, but residing in the south of the State, the amount paid for accommodation in Launceston for the last financial year.

Answer from Dr Goodwin -

I The Tasmanian Health Service has advised that no amount was paid for this purpose.

2 An examination of financial records by THS staff has identified a total of $2, 183. 74 in Launceston accommodation costs for 2015-16 for staff acting in THS Statewide Executive positions which were being recruited to.
